Generate shelf-style questions from my own clerkship notes

Prompt
MS3, Class of 2027-2026-06-12-Related Play

I paste my daily clerkship notes into AI and ask it to generate shelf-style questions from what I actually saw on the wards that day. The questions feel more real than Qbank because they're based on my patients.

Shared prompt
I'm an MS3 on my [ROTATION] clerkship. Here are my notes from today's patients (de-identified). For each patient, generate 2 NBME-style shelf questions that test the key clinical reasoning from that case. Include answer explanations. Focus on what an attending would expect me to know about each condition. [PASTE DE-IDENTIFIED NOTES]
Result: The questions hit differently because they're about patients I actually saw. I remember the clinical context when I review them, which makes the learning stick better than abstract Qbank questions.

I track my UWorld errors in a spreadsheet, then feed the patterns to AI weekly

Workflow Tip
MS2, Class of 2028-2026-06-10-Related Play

Instead of analyzing errors one block at a time, I keep a running Google Sheet with columns for topic, my answer, correct answer, and error type. At the end of each week, I paste the whole sheet into AI and ask it to find patterns I'm missing.

Shared prompt
Here's my error log from this week. Each row has: topic, my answer, correct answer, and what I think went wrong. Find patterns across all of these. Which topics keep showing up? Am I making the same type of mistake repeatedly? Give me a prioritized study plan for next week based on what you see. [PASTE SPREADSHEET DATA]
Result: The AI caught that 40% of my wrongs were in renal phys and most were reasoning errors, not knowledge gaps. I thought I had a cardiology problem but it was actually renal. Changed my study plan and saw improvement in 2 weeks.
Usefulness: 5/5Safety reviewed
